Last week Mia and Matt both moved out for school. Being an empty nester is nice in some ways (e.g. meals are easy) but it really was fun when they were home (e.g. mealtime conversation is a little slow). I will miss them.
I was just hearing about the damage to Vermont from the Hurricane Irene flooding. Brattleboro got hit really hard. We were just there a few days ago at my brother's wedding. I'm looking at the news pictures of the second story deck of the Arts Center that has now fallen in the river. We were standing right there enjoying the nice view across the Connecticut River last week. It's good his wedding wasn't this past weekend. Chris and Cheryl already had to postpone it for one year so it's great it happened and we were able to be there to enjoy it with them. It was really fun to see everyone and nice to meet her family. Cheryl is wonderful and I'm glad to have her and the girls in our family. Chris seems very happy.
Bryan and I are so bad -We took our camera out there and didn't take one picture. Cheryl had this picture of Chris and me displayed. She took it at the Provo Fourth of July parade. Do we look like brother and sister?
This weekend we head up for Hebgen for a week or two then I fly up to Portland to help my sister, Lynn, get her house spruced up and ready to hopefully sale. Will be back on the 22nd.
