After my Huntsman appt. today I went to visit my Dad. He turned 86 last Friday. I wished I had taken a camera because he looked great and I now realize I don't have any pictures of him. I picked up some lunch at Red Butte to take up and share and Annita, Dad and I had a good visit. It was really fun.
I found out some things I didn't know. I must have gotten my wavy, cow-licked hair from my Dad. He said he blow-dries it every morning because of the pieces that stick up even though it only takes him a minute because his hair is pretty thin now. (Jon can relate to the sticking up hair).
I also complimented him on his bright orange plaid shirt which looked so stylish. He always has been a fashionable dresser. He said that he thinks it started when he started working at Taylor Brothers in Provo when he was in high school and another men's clothing store in college. He said they would give him shirts to wear sometimes so that people would want to know where he got it. Nice Job! I would like one like that. I just wish I had gotten some of his fashion sense.
I was born as a middle child and the middle girl. I married a middle child. I'm a middlin parent, have developed a bit of a middle and, as my children like to remind me, I have hit middle age. I like to keep in mind this poem by Elzayyat: "Is it here already, the middle? You can't know unless you know the end. Is a new day round the bend? You must know the number, to answer the riddle."

WooHoo Day
It's here! My last day of radiation. It turned out to be not to bad. I am still most comfortable in Bryan's shirts but not as sore as I was. It is just so nice to be done. I felt like dancing in the waiting room and could hardly sit still. I pleased them with a big woohoo when they said I was done. The hospital gave me a free spa service at their new women's center so maybe I will go get a massage or pedicure or something.
I had made a strawberry cream pie last night and Matt had come up last night so I came home and we all had a celebratory piece of pie. Tonight we are going out to eat - another woohoo.
